Series representations for several density functions are obtained as mixtures of generalized gamma distributions with discrete mass probability weights, by using the exponential expansion and the binomial theorem. Based on these results, approximations based on mixtures of generalized gamma distributions are proposed to approximate the distribution of the sum of independent random variables, which may not be identically distributed. The applicability of the proposed approximations are illustrated for the sum of independent Rayleigh random variables, the sum of independent gamma random variables, and the sum of independent Weibull random variables. In this paper, a spectral collocation approximation is proposed for neutral and nonlinear weakly singular Volterra integro‐differential equations (VIDEs) with non‐smooth solutions. We use some suitable variable transformations to change the original equation into a new equation, so that the solution of the resulting equation possesses better regularity, and the the Jacobi orthogonal polynomial theory can be applied conveniently. Under reasonable assumptions on the nonlinearity, we carry out a rigorous error analysis in L∞ norm and weighted L2 norm. To perform the numerical simulations, some test examples (linear and nonlinear) are considered with nonsmooth solutions, and numerical results are presented. This paper is mainly concerned with the exponential stability of a class of hybrid stochastic differential equations–stochastic differential equations with Markovian switching (SDEwMSs). It first devotes to reveal that under the global Lipschitz condition, a SDEwMS is pth (p ∈ (0,1)) moment exponentially stable if and only if its corresponding improved Euler-Maruyama(IEM) method is pth moment exponentially stable for a suitable step size. It then shows that the SDEwMS is pth(p ∈ (0,1)) moment exponentially stable or its corresponding IEM method with small enough step sizes implies the equation is almost surely exponentially stable or the corresponding IEM method, respectively. In that sense, one can infer that the SDEwMS is almost surely exponentially stable and the IEM method, no matter whether the SDEwMS is pth moment exponentially stable or the IEM method. Since the discovery of electrochemically active LiFePO4, materials with tunnel and layered structures built up of transition metals and polyanions have become the subject of much research. A new quaternary arsenate, sodium calcium trinickel aluminium triarsenate, NaCa1–x Ni3–2x Al2x (AsO4)3 (x = 0.23), was synthesized using the flux method in air at 1023 K and its crystal structure was determined from single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction (XRD) data. This material was also characterized by qualitative energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis and IR spectroscopy. The crystal structure belongs to the α‐CrPO4 type with the space group Imma . The structure is described as a three‐dimensional framework built up of corner‐edge‐sharing NiO6, (Ni,Al)O6 and AsO4 polyhedra, with channels running along the [100] and [010] directions, in which the sodium and calcium cations are located. The proposed structural model has been validated by bond‐valence‐sum (BVS) and charge‐distribution (CHARDI) tools. The sodium ionic conduction pathways in the anionic framework were investigated by means of the bond‐valence site energy (BVSE) model, which predicted that the studied material will probably be a very poor Na+ ion conductor (bond‐valence activation energy ∼7 eV). 相似文献
